Mr. Best Ojo a financial expert and the founder Alpha Business School began his session by emphasizing that the whole wisdom that is needed to succeed in life can be found in the word of God. He stated that God’s word is the sure foundation for any successful business. Using his personal life story as an example, he explained that his quest for financial knowledge led him to take certain steps that seemed illogical at that time; however, today he remains grateful that he was willingly to take the risk… Below are some of his key submissions:

a.    A failure is someone that does not know how close he was to success before he quits.
b.    The government, our society & even parents would try to define our lives… but we must be willingly to REDEFINE our lives by ourselves.
c.    If a situation is not favorable to us, we have the ability to CHANGE it.
d.    You must be willingly to learn in life… Never be tired of learning.
e.    There is a limit to how far people can help you; you must learn to fight your own battles.

a.    Never get into a business because someone else is into it, copying another person’s business is a quick way to business failure.
b.    It is important you have a BUSINESS PLAN to direct the course of your business.
c.    Do what you must (positively) to raise finance for your business; even if it means menial jobs.
d.    Stop looking or depending on the wealth of your relations near or far… make up your mind to MAKE YOUR OWN wealth.
e.    Learn to take advice from mentors and people that have gone ahead of you in your chosen field.

Pst. Olugbenga Agbato is the CEO Good Shepherd Consult and a lover of youths. He began his session by stating the importance of the GOD FACTOR in every kind of business, according to him, without GOD in a business; no logical knowledge can make the difference. Below are some of his key submissions:
a.    We are all students of life and we are all students for life… Learning is an everlasting process.
b.    The four walls of the University is good, but your inability to go there doesn’t make you an automatic failure in life.
c.    There are different types of success… Pursue that of Joshua 1:8 (Biblical Reference)
d.    Everything you need to make it in life is around you… Look closely.
e.    Pride is a destroyer of destiny; you need to pay the price now so you don’t suffer later.
f.     It is important you know yourself, the more you know God, the more you know yourself.
Pst Agbato’s admonition was truly inspiring and mind challenging, and every participant knew that indeed it was time to make a difference.

The Rise Of New Leaders

MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Report Of LTA Gradating Ceremony for its 2nd set of students.
Saturday 21st of September may just be another for some, but for a few young minds, it remains among the most memorable days of their lives.
The Graduation Ceremony for the 2nd set of students of Life Transformers Academy was scheduled to start by 4pm on the fateful day. As early as 3pm, students and guest had begun to troop into the venue one at a time. The hall was colorfully adorned with a Green & Yellow backdrop design & the engineers and sound men were set for what would turn out to be a history making event.

At about 4pm the event began with a short opening prayer and the singing of the first and second stanza the Nigerian national Anthem.  Mr. Michael Airhunuoje was up next to deliver his welcome address. In his heart touching address, he expounded on the need for individuals to take on the responsibility of saving the future by contributing to the development of young people wherever they found themselves. He furthered charged the graduating students of the academy to become worthy ambassadors of the academy and keep everything they’ve learnt in the past one month close to their hearts always.

After his address, Mrs. Ndudi Bowei was called upon to express her thoughts about LTA. In her usual charismatic and charming style, she saluted the courage of the director to take up the responsibility of transforming his world. She believes that the Academy is on the right track in the development of the youths. She advised the graduating set to take what they’ve heard in the academy to their friends and colleagues all around; stating that the easiest way to keep learning is to keep teaching.

The Facilitators of the Academy were given the opportunity to talk about their teaching experience; after which the students were called upon to comment on their time in LTA. All their testimonies left the audience & facilitators in an amazed state; as they poured out their hearts one after the other.  Here are a few accounts from the students:

Mr. Samuel Edet: “I had just attended a seminar that seemed like this one, so when I heard about LTA, I was like… What do I want to learn here, that I don’t know before? Is it not like other academies that will just keep talking to us with no effect? However, after attending the first class, EVERYTHING CHANGED. IT was like I didn’t know anything. Every facilitator had a way of bringing things that sounded so abstract back to reality. It was truly a worthy experience for me. Thank God I did not take it for granted. Please friends, it is important you keep learning. No one knows it all”.

Another student Mr. Osas Igbinoba had this to say: “I want to thank God for keeping me alive to be a part of this Academy; it is one of the best things that have happened to my life. Right now, I feel I should keep taking dose of these lectures everyday like a tablet. This whole course has completely changed my life & my mode of thinking. God Bless you LTA”.

It wasn’t just a men’s affair as Miss Victoria Ifeanyi had this to say: “LTA has indeed transformed my life, it has changed my thinking process, and it has made me understand that I AM A LEADER. It has shown me that rather than complaining about the society, I should play my part in making it better. LTA has made me see that I AM THE GOVERNMENT and that my actions determine the future of this country. I have now made up my mind to make a difference in my world and not just live my life anyhow. Thank you my Facilitators, and I thank God because I could attend this course”.

These and many more were the testimonies of the graduating set.  Friends, families and guests present gave a few remarks as the students were awarded a CERTIFICATE OF EXCELLENCE amidst cheers and ovation from those present.

The Making of World Class Leaders

It was both a moment of pride and joy as the first set of students of LIFE TRANSFORMERS ACADEMY received their Certificate of excellence at their Graduation Ceremony on Saturday 6th of July 2013.
The event which kicked off by 4pm began with the rendition of the National Anthem by those present; after which the Director of the Academy Mr. Airhunuoje O Michael gave an inspiring Welcome Address. In his address, he stretched that the need for developing leaders with Spiritual, Moral & Human Values cannot be over emphasized; stating that unless we develop leaders from their young age, we may continue to have ACCIDENTAL LEADERS in the helms of affairs.
One of the facilitators of the Academy Mr. Leleji Benjamin expressed his satisfaction with the students throughout the academy; stating that it was easy communicating with people who are eager to learn; he quickly gave a load down of everything he taught the students as he received a warm round of applause from the guests.
Moving forward, Mr. Taiye Ogunade, the MC of the occasion called on some of the students to explain in summary all they’ve learnt for the past one month in the Academy. Indeed, this was a moment of revelation for both the guests and the facilitators alike. The students looking extremely gorgeous in their White & Black outfit with a touch of Blue came out one after the other to tell everyone that cared to listen about their LTA EXPERIENCE. Miss Unyinme Emmanuel an Under Graduate Said: “when I was told about the Academy, I was like… Which one is Leadership Academy again? What do they want to tell me that I don’t know of before, however, I reluctantly registered and attended. After attending the first class, my orientation began to change; gradually I began to discover myself… I began to understand that there is a leader in me and that rather than dodge responsibilities, I should be courageous enough to accept them. In short, I’m really grateful to all the facilitators for setting up an Academy like this; I am going back to School, more focused and determined to conquer my world”
Mr. Richard Aminu, another student of the academy awaiting admission confessed: “This past one month has been a defining moment of my life. Prior before now, I was a bit confused about who I was and the purpose for my existence on earth… I was just living life everyday as it comes. But as I speak to you now, I know who I am. I know I was created to make my world better. This class has really changed me and has help to redesign my purpose in life. I live a purpose driven life now… Thanks to LTA”.
The testimonies were so touching that many parents and guest present were left speechless. Mrs. Ibukun Ladeloye who   taught the students about LOVE, DATING & SEX said she was really overwhelmed that the students could grab so much in just a space of 4 weeks. She also spoke on the need for parents to encourage their female daughters/wards to be a part of projects like this as many young girls are going through so much pressure to do the wrong stuffs… especially in this generation.
The Chairman Board Of Trustees of the Academy Pst. Olugbenga Agbato led the presentation of the Certificate Of Excellence to all the Graduates; while charging them to go out and live the life they’ve been taught to live. He also encourage them to teach other people just the way they have been taught; stating that the best way to learn is to teach others.
The event came to a close as the Next Academic Session was announced to be on the 17th of August – 7th of September 2013. Many of the guests began to show commitment of sponsoring at least 5 students for the next class.

THE TRUE TRANSFORMATION

It is commonly said that there can never be a fake except an original exists. This adage is made true when you here of the term TRANSFORMATION/CHANGE.

Today however, I’m humbled to introduce the True manifestation of the aforementioned terms; something quite different from the political propagandas we’ve been used to for some years now.

A team of young spirited Nigerians have decided to redefine the concept of EDUCATION by equipping youths with the necessary skills, principles and systems to succeed in this present day Nigeria.
The team led by Airhunuoje Michael founded an Academic Institution known as LIFE TRANSFORMERS ACADEMY. The school carefully and systematically drafted courses that are not really thought in the conventional classrooms or even church rooms; thereby making it a place for those individuals with the zeal to THINK OUTSIDE the BOX, and the drive to DARE the seemingly IMPOSSIBLE.

With a collection of courses ranging from Leadership, Talent Discovery, Business Development, Relationship, Divinity and many more, the FOUNDATIONAL CERTIFICATE COURSE is set to be a strong platform to help young Nigerians discover themselves.

It is the hope of the school’s Board of Directors that as the First Academic Class begins on the 1st of June the institution would play an active part in the development of the mindset of the average Nigerian youth.

The Three Mighty Men at DAYSTAR

As at 1:59 pm on the 13th of April 2013, my heart was ready, my mind was open; I was ready to be upgraded. Five minutes after, my story was different, I thought I was coming to attend a Media Business Program; but I was wrong! So WRONG!

Although I expected much; but when the first Speaker Mr. Chude Jideonwo came on the podium, THINGS Changed; I got and so much more than I could even ask or dream of. It was a pleasant surprise.

 Chude & Michael
In a very simple but precise manner, he explained the concept of New Media popularly known as Social Media.  After cautioning the participants about getting too excited about social media as its just as normal as any other means of expression; Mr. Chude went on to explain its significance for business & productivity. He explained that we must only engage in the New Media that is beneficial to our business or purpose; adding that we mustn’t be on every single social media in order to prove our relevance in the society.
Throughout his whole presentation, my ears were taking as much information in; there by giving my brain the herculean task of trying to express every vital point on paper through my pens.

As though that impartation was not enough, it was then the turn of Mr.Deolu Akinyemi.

Mr. Deolu introduced his presentation with a very witty but wise story of a Grand Mother and her sons. Believe me, the story is awesome (I go tell una another day.lol). He went further to explain how you can get financial returns from your media presence.  For him, Having Value is a very important factor if you are to attract a large followership base online. His advice and suggestions on making money online just opened my eyes to the numerous opportunities that slip through our fingers every day.

At this point of my encounter at Daystar, I discovered I was not just in a SEMINAR, but a life changing gathering of mighty men. When I say mighty, don’t mistake me for the Goliath-kind of mighty. NO! I’m talking about the Mr. Japheth Omojuwa type of mighty.
Michael & Omojuwa

Mr. Omojuwa is the epitome of a man who knows WHO HE IS. His direct approach to the issue of social media evolvement in Nigeria wasn’t just a speech from books or journals, but a real life account of experiences he has had over time.  Watching this guy speak was not just inspiring, it was thought provoking; actually, his analyses and views really makes you hit yourself in the head and say “WHY DIDN’T I THINK OF IT THIS WAY BEFORE?”.

Cross Section of Participants at the program at Daystar

These great individuals have indeed infested my heart and planted a great seed of possibilities inside. If with little or nothing they can affect so much lives around the world; as well as build themselves into a sellable brand; then I know ONE day, you too can MAKE THE DIFFERENCE in this nation.

NIGERIA HOSTS MARK ZUKERBERG AFTER HIS BIRTHDAY

The name may sound familiar, but I bet even though he is a popular youth around the world, many of our Nigerian youths don’t really know who he is or what he does.

Well the funny thing is that, this young guy has made inventions that even the likes of Jay-z, Beckham & World Leaders cannot ignore.
His name is Mark Elliot Zuckerberg an American computer programmer and Internet entrepreneur and the founder of FACEBOOK (That sound familiar right?)

Mark is ranked among the top MOST INFLUENTIAL Youth in the World; His proposed visit to Akwa-Ibom State in Nigeria may not be given the media hype like that of Entertainment, Political or Sports personalities; it is worthy to note that the  CEO who is worth an estimated $9.4 billion  as of 2012, is visiting us few days after his 29th Birthday.

Wishing him all the best as he comes, and prays his impact in the Niger Delta Youth Economic Summit would cause a dramatic change in the mindset of Africa youths.

The Prayer of a SAINT

I need you to save me from myself,
I do the things I hate doing and hate myself for it.
Your words I try to hide in my heart,
That I may constantly run from evil;
Yet the more I try, the more I fail.

I’m a product of your compassion,
Yet I abuse your love and passion.
Countless times I pray to hold on,
But my flesh seems to have the better side of me.

My heart is pounding so fast, as I write,
Cos I don’t know if this is going to be my last,
I really hope it isn’t anyway.

Why was I born this way?
Is this an eternal curse or a passing phase?

Can I overcome this cross or I need a Joseph of Arimathea?

O my father, hear my cry and hearken to my desires

Take my back to the place where I once was
That place where I was at peace
